I grew up in the transition to Web 2.0 with a great appreciation for Dave Winer and his amazing contributions to everything that makes my job possible. His irrational hatred of Jason Calicanis has lead me to entirely disrespect his opinion. Winer invents stuff that matters. Calicanis capitalizes on it. Both things are noble. For the inventor to criticize the user is just sad. I admire both guys, but Winer is campaigning for my disrespect just about every time I’ve encountered him.
