Gizmodo Fiasco

I haven’t blogged in a while because my Wordpress theme is screwed up and I keep asking Cali to fix it, but she’s always busy and I’m not nearly as technical as she is. I write this paragraph because I love her, and if I say Cali Lewis, she will get a google alert that will remind her to fix it. :) Who communicates through google alerts? Only people who really know each other, I think.

Gizmodo decided to be stupid and use a TV-B-Gone (i.e. the most evil gadget ever made) to turn off multiple displays during various product demos. Gizmodo seems to want to go for the bad boy blogger image, but to me they just seem like dopes.

In the consumer electronics news biz, we thrive when tech thrives. That doesn’t mean we compromise and say a product is cool when it isn’t, but it does mean we don’t try to undermine the whole gadget world. Gizmodo doesn’t get that. That’s sad.
