I spent the first decade of my life in several motorhomes, the most memorable being a Newl called the Rambling B. I am sure that a child would augment your dreams rather then stifle them. I learned more from traveling the states in then I ever did in school. So if you ever want to know about child rearing on the road from a child’s perspective let me know. I still remember meeting Doug Hennning’s tigers he used in the magic show. You find all sorts of things in RV parks.

Thanks for opening up comments Neil. I’m going to keep praying on this. I really think you and Cali would make wonderful parents, since love is the most important component in raising a child (though a reasonable amount of money does help, I’m not disagreeing with Cali there.) I think you and Cali are two of the friendliest people I have never met (yet). Can’t wait for the Big Trip. My partner and I will be there when you get to New York or Pennsylvania (or both).

I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now. I love the fact that it’s basically about whatever interests you at the moment, which is really cool.

I’m so happy for you two! I am glad that you feel comfortable enough to share your world with your GeekBrief.tv friends. I truly hope that I can meet both of you someday soon. It is funny the things we have in common. My husband was raised in a baptist family and spend many years on a farm growing tomatoes! I was raised (like Cali) in an Italian home. I agree with Dave you are two of my favorite people. I wish you all the luck with the trip and potential baby planning Congrats!

Ah, thanks for reminding me Daynah. I also wanted to say how excited I am for both of you! The Big Trip will be an experience that you’ll cherish, a shared memory that will stay with your for your entire lifetime.

I plan to be on the road this summer as well, and I have a feeling our paths will cross.

Have you decided on bus vs RV yet?

Just wanted to wish you good luck on your Big Trip and your baby venture! My husband and I may be on the same path soon. We’re not traveling all 50 states, but did enough traveling this year to start thinking about starting a family.
