In the past, I’ve done most of the work myself when I couldn’t afford help and when I could afford help, I tended to go with off duty firefighter moving services because I figured they’d be strong and reliable.

For my last two moves, I’ve used a service called U-Haul Moving Help. People don’t tend to know about this service so I thought I’d evangelize a bit. When you’re going to move and drive the truck yourself, go to uhaul.com/movinghelp. You can even do it the same day you plan to move. Enter some data and you’ll get a list of movers that are available for the job. Each mover has stared reviews submitted by past customers. Based on the available companies, you can get one guy, two guys, three guys and then decide how many hours you’ll need them. Check out and you’ll get a call from the company you picked to set up a time.

There are four reasons I love this service more than any other type of moving I’ve done.

1) It’s affordable. My moves have been half what I paid previous movers.
2) You pay U-Haul online, not the moving company.
3) U-Haul gives you a job code the mover receives AFTER the job. They don’t get paid without that code.
4) Positive user reviews lead to future work for the movers so they are motivated to please the customer.

The last team of movers packed the truck so well. After I picked up a few boxes from a different place, I drove off having forgotten to close the door. I drove six miles with the back door opened and nothing moved!

Eventually there will be an iPad App and changes to the iPhone App and hopefully changes to the Instagram website. These are 5 things on my Instagram wishlist…

5. Re-shares. Sometimes there’s a photo I love so much, I’d like to re-share it. The only way I can find to do share someone else’s photo is to take a screenshot, crop it and post it from my library. I don’t do that because the photographer wouldn’t get credit.

4. Google+ Integration. My guess is G+ integration can’t happen until Google releases an API, but I’d like it to happen soon.

3. User pages on the Instagram website. I’m sure it’s a conscious decision by the Instagram team to save bandwidth cost, or something, but it’s a quirky choice not to have user gallery pages. I’d like a user page (instagram.com/nealcampbell) where I can see all my photos and browse other people’s pages to find new photographers to follow.

2. Swipe to flip through photos. I’m a little picky about who I follow on Instagram. I want to see pretty pictures, so before I follow someone new, I look through their photos for an abundance of prettiness. The way it works now, I have to click a photo, let it load, hit the back button, and repeat that again and again. I’d like to just flick through photos like I can in the Photo App and the Facebook App.

1. Slide Show. I’d like a slide show option that would cycle through photos I’ve liked, commented on, shared, photos from my feed or photos shared by a particular Instagram photographer.

iPad Head Girl is a a gimmick designed by the super creative kiddos at Thinkmodo. The goal is to promote Hearst’s first iPad only magazine, Cosmo for Men. Thinkmodo worked with Clockwork Apple to fabricate a cube that a model would wear over her head. Inside the cube, she’s wearing video glasses connected to a camera in her purse so she can see where she’s walking.

Here’s the problem now though. I don’t want to die any more. Last winter I wanted to die and I survived by wanting to want to live. I’m just not sure how to live, though.

It’s like I pointed my life in one direction like a rocket. Now everyone says I can’t go in that direction anymore.

I don’t enjoy starting over. It’s not right that I have to.

I’ve been in the process of starting a new show, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen. Sometimes I just want to work for someone else on building their dream because my dreams are broken.
